Fascination and Curiosity

Wednesday, February 15th, 2006

Unproductive but very effective day today.  I spent most of the day interviewing new pledges for the Business fraternity. It’s amazing how much your network can really grow in one day.  I think one of my greatest qualities stems from one of my greatest weaknesses.  I have ADD but through my ADD is a simple fascination for everything.  I’m naturally very curious to learn about anything new.  I’m also fascinated by people in genearl, the different lifestyle that each person leads from one to the other seriously fascinates me.  THrough this simple fascination grows my social skills and ability to understand almost any perspective.  Saw one of the coolest speakers of my life today his name was Will Norris (No not Chuck’s brother wankers), He is the inventor of the inner ear microphone, the tonearm on a recordplayer, the sonigram, and the air scooter (one of the first personal flying vehicles) and most recently he developed Award winning speaker technology.  He learned how to direct sound like you direct light.  Soon speakers will have directional control, which has huge implications.  He held up this speaker and pointed it around the room.  HE could make it sound like a waterfull to the left of me, like someone was opening a can of soda next to me, ventriliquoists are now replaced by technology.  This means you could play music in your room as loud as you want as soonas you walk out of th edoor you cant hear it anymore.  Sound is no longer uncontrollable, it is finite. He also told us how FUSION is a reality now.  It’s called Sonarfusion or something to that effect. 5 percent of the ocean water can ultimately sustain our current population for about 3 million years.  Energy isn’t a problem, screw buying GAS from people who don’t even like us, we will just invent new energy sources.  Scientists are also finally doing research on the mechanism behind gravity. Within out lifetime it is entirely probable that we will be able to start defying gravity.  Nasa has already developed the software to manage an AIR highway.  There is alot to think about, and so much possiblity in the world.  My job is to see how much I can uncover, what is left to be tapped, How much can I do?

New Business Idea

Monday, February 13th, 2006

So went out for sushi with brianna, matt, and amit after the Fraternity meeting.  Good stuff, good people, good conversation.  So I cruise home and decide to get intoxicated with my roommate bubba.  Out comes some crazy philosophical conversation about life and the speed that information delivery is increasing these days, possibilities for the future.  Then he asks why I was easting sushi, Did I break my diet?  I told him that I broke the diet becuase I got sick.  When you get sick and your on the atkins diet, usually its hard to recover as fast because all the medicines have sugar in them.  It’s hard to find a cough syrup where you can easily pick a sugar free substitution… So there’s my new business idea, how about I create some easily brandible “Sugar Free, Zero Carbs” Cough syrup.  I could catch the tail end of the “low carb diet” demographic, and still get frequent sales from the “health concious” consumer.  Who knows, maybe In the future, I could actually develop a marketable product. Design and setup production. and then find a good reliable customer base.  IT would be renewable reliable income source. Anyways going to hit 7-11, I shall purchase un burrito. If i fail to purchase un burrito, I may end up challenging the slurpee machine.

Fighting the sickness

Spent most of the weekend fighting a sore throat / cough.  Saw the doc last night and he hooked me up with some cough syrup with codeine. The codeine puts me out hard, so looks like I wont be taking much of that.  I’ve got to write my essay to get into Singapore today, so hopefully Its super fantastic. Wow who says super anymore anyways? I’m hitting the books, hard. Just a lil update.

On Saturday I went to Ian’s to say Happy Birthday and goodbye to his girl Merima. I had a really good time, was nearly undefeated at beer pong.  I got Ian and Evan some beer I heard was good. Its brewed in a monastery every 1000 years and they sacrifice a monk for each bottle of beer. :)

I feel like crap

Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

It feels like someones tightening a grip vise on my neck.  There is pressure all in my ears and up along my throat. Im not sure if it feels like a sore throat or if its some kind of sinus pains. I should go to the doc.  Chilled with Lovedrop and Sinn all last night and ended up selling my Lovesac to Lovedrop. Thats alot of love in one sentence.  I also went to a meeting on Singapore and why its awesome, im even more stoked to go now but Im worried I might not get in.  I really need to write an awesome essay on why they should pick me.  Ive got a proffesional event to attend tonight for Akpsi, so I better try and find some proffesional clothes.  Later wankers.

Bring me a throat lozenge.
